Quiet on the Interest Rate Front
I found this quote several years ago and thought that with all the negatives that we have had in the past couple of years now would be a good time to bring it out again.
“We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential.” ~Ellen Goodman
Wishing you a safe, happy, and successful 2012.
At this time it appears to be fairly quiet on the interest rate front.
After a couple of small decreases, the 5 year fixed rates have settled into the 3.19% to 3.49% range, which is currently at new historical lows.
The Bank of Canada has kept prime rate at 3.00% this year and from the tone of their last meeting, they may not make any changes for some time.
